Something To Ponder

As Shoelover Gears up for L'Oréal Fashion Week (Spring 2007), of which Shoe Stor is a sponsor, Shoelover came across this article talking about Spring Fashion Week in Melbourne Australia, where, it is currently Winter. 

This got Shoelover to wondering, given fashion industry manufacturing and buying cycles, where spring lines are typically shown in the fall of the previous year , what exactly are the women of Australia going to be wearing for Spring 2006? Clothes that were shown in the fall of 2005 for spring 2006 or are Australian going to be wearing spring 2007 fashions?  Are fashion designers and clothing manufacturers that efficient that they can get a line from the runway to the rack in a month or so.  Or does Spring Fashion week in Melbourne cater to out of country buyers and native Aussies just walk around looking like Crocodile Dundee?

Confusing, isn't it?  Something to ponder as you organize your shoe collection for fall.
